No matter how good the equipment it will always be a slave to the room acoustics and even modestly priced Hi-Fi systems can be made to really sing with careful room acoustic tuning.

We fully understand this so a range of highly effective and efficient room tuning equipment is under development.

We know about WAF* and it's often stringent control so endeavour to satisfy or at least appease this most important factor.

We use specialist room acoustic analysing software and calibrated measurement microphones to determine the listening environment and then manipulate it accordingly.

Acoustic tuning minimises negative room effects and vastly improves the correlation of transducer to ear at a given listening position thus improving clarity, sound staging and dynamic contrast.

Modular speaker system

A new concept of passive, semi-active, fully active and DSP tuned speaker arrays for Hi-Fi and home theatre use.

Employing the highest grade drive units and solid anti resonant cabinets in a diminutive form factor, these are set to offer the all important WAF approval whilst performing at a huge scale. They are purposely engineered with natural mid bass extension down to a modest 70hz at which point duties are handed seemlessly to dsp active subwoofers.

Loudspeaker drive unit refoaming

Older drive units often have foam type surrounds which degrade with time making them literally disintegrate.
We have the experience to replace these as I have already renovated KEF 104/2, 105/3, Reference 1 and Tannoy Monitor Gold 15 with refoaming kits in the past.

This service is currently offered by email request to local Gloucestershire area with personal collection and return delivery if required.
It can be a rather time consuming process when done properly (thoroughly cleaning off all the old tacky stuff first rather than glueing over it) so expect cost to reflect that.
I estimate around six hours for KEF 104/2 or 105/3 but later KEF Reference models are a little easier.
Turnaround time is expected to be a week or so.

Costs can be reduced if the drive units are removed from the speakers and replaced by the customer (as was the case with the Tannoy Arden units) but please be sure you know exactly what you are doing before attempting any kind of repair work. I can always give free advice if requested..
